Reason #1,024 Not To Get Married
Because the family court will screw you over, literally and figuratively, and do it with impunity. Might as well marry in a brothel for all the security the institution now offers.
Or reason 1,024,098 showing that we live in an unjust tyrannical idiocracy, where not being 100% in control of your faculties and 100% sure about your fiancée before marrying her are tantamount to bending over before Ceasar.
Can't argue with that. We used to have institutional safeguards to do a lot of our worrying for us, which liberated much of our time and energy for better things. Now it's every man for himself, and mere survival demands almost all our attention and effort. The good news is that more people are getting the memo and emerging from their slumber.
