Be Proud If You Don't Fit In
For most of my youth I hated myself because I couldn't be like most everyone else. It took me a while to appreciate the fact that the world is a crazy place, populated mostly by crazy people, and that fitting into this asylum is nothing to celebrate. If you find yourself at odds with the world around you, be proud, for you are likely among the aristocracy.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment, castricv. Usually there are nothing but crickets around here. I have enough disdain for modern Western society to keep this blog running until I keel over (unless of course society keels over first, which is rather likely).
ReplyDeleteVox is one of the few people I've encountered with a keen understanding of the deep and systemic illness plaguing us. I should comment there more often rather than lurk, since the discussion is on a level almost impossible to find anywhere else.
