Republicans Show Their True Colors

Several Republican candidates failed to meet the deadline for placing themselves on the ballot in Virginia. As people who profess to honor the rule of law and personal responsibility, they graciously admitted their mistake and vowed to learn from it.

Or, maybe not. Feel free to choose which from this collection of hypocritical losers has what it takes to rescue America.

  1. The law in VA regarding gaining access to a Presidential Primary ballot has been in place since 1982, and prior to this eletion cycle, has evoked no outcry. The lack of any candidate not to meet its requirements, a minimum of 400 registered voter signatures per Congressional District, and a total of at least 10,000 registered voter signatures statewide, demonstrates a complete failure of organization.

Though I dislike both major parties, I often think Republicans are worse because they are hypocrites -- they hold themselves out as stalwart defenders of limited government, the rule of law, and personal responsibility, yet they shred these principles whenever convenient.

At least the Democrats openly announce their rejection of these principles, which is honest even if repulsive.
